pristine alaskan experience; 20 hours of sunlight

June 10, 2010

I thought I was going to be losing my summer by spending it in “frigid” Alaska but it turns out that I’m getting twice the summer with only about 3-4 hours of darkness and tempetures in the 70s most of the time. I usually don’t take pictures of sunsets but this was the view looking northwest  at  10:30 pm half way up Elephant Mountain about 5 miles from Hoonah(to beautiful not to take a picture).
